Anarchist(ic) Edinburgh
- AK Distribution is a non-profit workers' co-operative anarchist publisher and radical distributor based in Edinburgh, London & San Francisco.
- The Autonomous Centre of Edinburgh (ACE) is a self-funded community resource centre for grassroots organisation, encouraging people to take more control of their lives. We do not provide solutions, but believe in joining together to support each other.
- The Edinburgh Chiapas Solidarity Group was formed in late 2002 by a small group of Zapatista supporters, most of whom had worked as volunteers in Chiapas in South-East Mexico. The group really took off after a huge public meeting in December, and now has members from Greece, Spain, USA, Mexico - and Scotland.
- Edinburgh CITY (Change IT Yourselves) is an independent forum for people interested in creating social and environmental change. We are not here to promote a specific agenda, but to support each other and share information with other interested people.
- Edinburgh Claimants are an independent group of benefit claimants working to provide advice and support for fellow claimants. We also actively resist benefit cuts and compulsory "workfare" schemes, like the New Deal.
- Edinburgh Critical Mass is a celebration of the alternatives to cars, pollution, accidents and the loss of public spaces and freedoms. Not an organisation or group, but an idea or tactic, Critical Mass allows people to reclaim cities with their bikes, just by getting together and out-numbering the cars on the road.
- Edinburgh IWW. The IWW is a DIY Union. The IWW cannot sell you out because its leadership is its rank and file - the members make the decisions and have the final say. We have no paid full-time officials. All union-wide decisions are taken by referendum, while IWW workplaces and branches make their own decisions about bargaining and strategy.
- theForest: alternative art, food, and DIY space at 3 Bristo Place.
- Intercourse: talking sex, is a non-profit organisation devoted to encouraging people to develop comfortable and positive ways of thinking and talking about sex, sexuality and relationships. Intercourse is organised by participants for participants. Anyone is welcome to get involved.
- Word Power is Scotland's independent and radical bookshop. Their online bookshop is an alternative to corporate bookselling chains and some online companies which ban trade unions.
